While working on another family project, ("through the years" photo boards for Sara & Ryan's upcoming wedding) Sara, my parents, and I found more proof of our family's love for monkey shines.
Here, my dad has Sara (approx. 12 months) in the backpack carrier and I'm in the front (out of focus) making her laugh:

And here is Sara, Kristin, and I on our parents back porch (after the Fun Fair?) with painted faces:

Special things to note:
1. That's the same backpack carrier that my dad uses to carry his grandbabies in. (see Monkey Shines post)
2. I think my mom still has that hanging fern.
3. Note the old pool and swingset in the back yard. (Every time I see that pool I think about the time Dad threw Angie in it in her clothes. haha.)
Posted by Catteron at March 30, 2006 04:32 PMYou should also note that it's the same blue backpack in both entries (the one with baby isaac and the one with baby sara). We've always been big fans of making facing in the mirror. I'm still guilty of it.
Love,
rara
Reese saw it & when we asked who it was she said Reese (Caron), Caylee (Sara), & daddy (papa).
Pretty good resemblance.
Tell me the story about Angie being thrown in the pool! It sounds too funny!!!!!
Posted by: Julie Schill at March 30, 2006 07:32 PMTalk about memories! As a neighbor, I remember the backyard stuff, how funny! Gosh Caron, you are making me feel so old. Speaking of OLD, I have been informed we are going to be grandparents. Congrats to John & Jennie. We are thrilled.
Thanks for the memories and fun pics.
Happy Easter to all.
