Okay, I admit it. Sometimes I still make monkey shines at myself in the mirror. I can't help it. It's funny, it's silly, and it makes me break out of taking life so seriously.
My sisters and I shared a bathroom growing up and one of my favorite rituals was making monkey shines at Kristin while we brushed our teeth before bed.
About a month ago, while Isaac and I were at my parents' house, my Dad was carrying Isaac around in the backpack carrier and I caught them... My Dad was in the bathroom with Isaac teaching him to make monkey shines!!
My Dad would stand up straight and tall in the mirror and say, "where's Isaac? Where is he..." Isaac would sit very still behind my dad until he said, "There he is!" and he'd pop out from behind my Dad to look at himself in the mirror and make monkey shines!

(Thanks for hanging out with us tonight, Dad. It was fun and a big help.)
(AND, props to Bryan for braving Shop 'N Save on the $10 coupon night! You're an all-around rock star of a Daddy.)

Thanks,
Lynne
Making monkey shines is an exercise in self discovery, and it is fun to witness another generation doing research!
Thanks to you and Bryan for sharing Isaac with your families.
Love,
Dad
Car & Dad - These pictures are so cute! I admit I loved making faces with you too Car while brushing our teeth when we were growing up! Can't wait to see Isaac in person making faces when we come home for Sar & Ryan's wedding! Love, Kristin
