Isaac's longest sentence came shortly after we returned from Pennsylvania. It must have been stewing in his brain for a while. It all started with a conversation between Isaac and I after Day Care:
Isaac: "Sofia!" (pointing to another baby leaving Day Care)
Mommy: "No, that's not Sofia. That's another baby. Sofia is in Pennsylvania with Tia and Carlos."
I: "Sofia's far away. Tia's far away." (Tia is "aunt" in Portuguese.)
M: "Yes, Tia and Sofia are far away. They live in Pennsylvania..." And the conversation continued and we talked about mountains, etc.
Half of the time, when I talk to Isaac like this, I feel like I'm talking to myself - wondering if Isaac is picking up on anything I'm saying.
Then, a week later: the payoff! (And, again, right after Day Care.)
I: "Tia's far away in the mountains."
M: "Wow! Yes! Tia is far away in the mountains! Good job, Isaac! That was a... 1, 2, 3... (counting on my fingers) SIX word sentence!!"
I guess he IS listening! : ) (Uh, oh...)

Izee--Tia, Sofia and Carlos will be out of the mountains in a few months, and then we will be able to see them all the time!
Caron--If you think you are talking to yourself now, wait a few years! haha
