If you keep up with my blog, it's no surprise that I enjoy photography. I love to shoot. I love to edit in Photoshop.
I'm always curious when I find a tutorial online that explains how to obtain a certain look from your photos. So, when I came across the, "How to turn your photo into movie-like effect using Photoshop?" article, I had to try it out.

Original photograph, pre-editing:
A few of you are asking about my cameras, what kind I use, etc. Here's the low-down:
- My "Big Camera": Canon Rebel XT: Santa gift: Xmas 2005
- kit lens (came with camera)
- 50 mm lens: Santa gift: Xmas 2006 (I use this lens most of the time. Great for low light and portraits.)
- My "Daily Driver": Canon Powershot SD400: Mother's Day Present 2005 (I keep it in my purse and use it daily. The photo in this post was shot with my Daily Driver.)
- My "Camera Phone": T-Mobile Sidekick by Danger, Inc: Ordered in 2002 while 8 months pregnant. (I may upgrade soon... I've been debating it for a while. I use my camera phone daily, as well, to post things to my moblog on flickr. If you haven't seen it, check it out!)
Those are the details. Santa spoils me, as does Bryan. : ) I'm a lucky girl.
P.S. (and totally off topic) I finished Bryan's socks last night! Woo!

Didn't the XT come with an 18-55 mm lens??? I'm considering the XTi - is it worth it?

Hey, Mark: Yes. My Rebel XT came with a 18-55mm lens. Here's a review:

However, I've found that my 50mm f1.4 stationary lens handles low light far better. The kit lens is good, but I couldn't go without my 50mm lens now.
If you're looking to buy, check out www.dpreview.com. I love my Rebel XT.

That was an excellent review of it! Thanks so much for the information. Think I'm going out to get one at lunch. Best Buy has a sale on it this week! =)
