Inherited Hand Talking

I wrote an email this morning to my mom (and copied my family):

    Mom,
I've inherited your knack of speaking enthusiastically with my hands. And though I try to suppress it at times, as to not frighten the people to whom I'm talking, my hands inevitably interact and describe what I'm trying to communicate.
Well, I happened upon this article this morning, "Hand waving boosts mathematics learning" and I thought you (and our family) might enjoy it.
Hand talking helps others learn?! Cool. : )
For the first time, I'm proud of my animated and exuberant arms. : )

If my mom (or anyone else) responds, I'll add their comments below.
