Happy Birthday (a day late) to my sister Angie! : ) (AKA Gigi)
What a year she's had... When our whole family went to Portugal this summer for Kristin & Carlos's wedding there was no doubt in Angie's mind that she would be there, too. She was eight months pregnant at the time, but she kept up with the rest of us from airport to airport and through the streets of Portugal. I don't know anyone else in the world who would travel internationally 8 months pregnant! You're stronger (and braver) than the rest of us, Gig! That couldn't have been easy! : )
If that doesn't prove character, I don't know what does. : )
Caylee Ryann was born in late July and prior to her maternity leave, Angie was promoted at work.
Angie is the most motivated of the Hoyne daughters, for sure. She was always the one to organize us all (and order us around) to put on a Christmas play for the family when we were kids.
My dad told me a story last week about how we would sometimes play school in the basement. One of us would be the teacher (usually Angie) and Kristin, Sara, and I were all students. My parents would encourage us all to take turns being the teacher. Dad said, Angie would then reluctantly let one of us take a turn but after a couple of minutes she'd become the teacher again. : )
You know, though, if it weren't for Angie's enthusiasm and motivation, I don't think my room would have been clean those few times I cleaned it when I was a kid. haha.
I love this photo of Gig and Caylee taken in late August when Caylee was about 1 month old.
Happy Birthday, Ang! We love you very much and hope this year will be even more successful! : )

Hi Angie:
You are our first "Geand baby" and the first born in Boone county that year. What a splash you did make. Picture on the front page of the Columbia paper, no less ! Your Papa Hoyne & I left a house full of company to drive to Columbia to see you and welcome you to the family.
Love you dearly and wishing you only the best things in life. You certainly have a great start in that direction, that's for sure !
Happy Birthday !! (Sorry to be late)
Love ya' lots !!
