Okay, as usual, this B-day entry is late, but I did get to celebrate with the Birthday Boy in person on time last week.
Here is a photo from my Moblog of Isaac and his Papa at The Pasta House for his b-day dinner with my parents' "Dinner Club":

Mmmmm... That's my favorite kind of dessert: any dessert with 7 forks for sharing. haha.
We gave my Dad a video capture card for his "television on the computer" or Home Theatre PC. (It's basically a do-it-yourself TiVo with computer functionality. We have one at home. It started as a hobby for Bryan and is now a staple family appliance. I could not imagine living without our HTPC.)
Anyway, my Dad had the capture card in the computer and was configuring it right away. (And I wondered where my dorky technology loving nature came from... haha.)
Speaking of technology loving nature, Isaac LOVES the remote control. If it's in his sight, he's reaching for it. So, we took the batteries out of an old remote (and cleaned it) so that he can slobber all over his own remote.
I expected Isaac to like technology. I didn't expect him to have his own remote control before the age of 6 months. : )
Happy Birthday, Dad (aka Papa). : ) We love you!

Thanks for all your birthday wishes at dinner and online. Thanks also for the video capture card. When I left for work this morning the computer was on and the scheduler was set to record the evening news. So today is the first test to see if we can program scheduler ... as you know, sometimes computer work is trial and error. And if this ends up error, I'll call you and Bryan for advice!
Love,
Dad

It's comforting to know that our 9-month old, Chase, is not the only one infatuated with remotes. Hands down....it's her most consistent "favorite toy"? I think my favorite toy as a kid was a flour sifter? Perhaps that just show how old I am?! =)
