I can remember, seventeen years ago, going to my very first Monkees concert ever on my mom's 40th birthday at the Fox Theatre. What's so weird about that, you ask? Well, she wasn't the one in particular who REALLY wanted to go... it was her daughters who begged her to let us go.
So, there we were, Mom, Kristin, Sara, and I, at the Monkees concert. I remember mom setting the rules for me, because, of course, I had strep throat at the time:
Rule #1: no screaming, if you want to yell something, tell Sara and she'll yell it for you.
Rule #2: You can sing along to the songs, but don't push it. Sing quietly.
Rule #3: Suck on these Sucrets.
That story alone, proves how good of a mom we have. I can't tell you how many times she's sacrificed for our happiness.
So, happy birthday, Mom. Thank you for all of the elementary school lunches at home, countless trips to the Doctor's office (and then, of course to McDonald's and Walgreens), the notes on our napkins in our lunch boxes, and for the love and support that you've always given us.
We love you. : )

Dear Caron,
Thank you for such a sweet tribute. I had tears in my eyes after I read it! I love you all so much!
Thank you also for the surprise flowers that were just delivered to the school. They are in a little white basket.
It has been a fun birthday. Cheryl had a note by the door telling the students to wish me a Happy Birthday!
Thanks everyone for making my day special! See you this evening!
Love, Momxoxoxoxoxxoxoxoxoxooxoxxoxoxoxoxooxoxxoxo
