Movement

Wow. Being pregnant is so cool and weird all at the same time!

Our baby is moving a lot. These aren't little "flutters". These are kicks and rolls and jumps. Big enough movements for Bryan to feel from the outside. : )

I love it.

According to all of the pregnancy books and websites, I felt movement very early for my first pregnancy. I wonder what that means for the near future...

A sign of a strong baby? Who knows!! I'm happy to feel him/her moving around. Before now, there really was no way to know that there was a little human in there, well besides looking my rounding profile.

Speaking of my profile, I just passed the stage where people were staring at me really funny. I think they were wondering if I was pregnant or just had a big beer gut. : ) I'm sure there's no mistaking that I'm pregnant, now. My belly is out for everyone to see, and my belly button gets more shallow by the day.

We have our next appointment in two weeks, on June 24th. (I'll be 20 weeks along by then.) We'll have an ultrasound that day and will hopefully be able to determine if it's a he or a she growing inside. I can't wait!!

Meanwhile, we're still trying to sell our house. Harley, our dog, is being a good trooper and visits "Grandma and Grandpa's" house every day, just in case we have some prospective buyers who want to stop by our house. She's getting used to her new schedule and she's actually laying down in the car! A sight we didn't expect to see.

This past Monday night, we had the opportunity to see an old friend on the big screen. Kelly Stables had her lead debut in a film called, "Pride and Prejudice". It showed in St. Louis for a one night only screening at Crestwood AMC, and thanks to Jenni Moser, we got to go. : ) As I watched the movie, I couldn't help thinking about working with Kelly at Six Flags, St. Louis and being proud to know how far she's come since then.) Here are some (sneaky) photos that I took with my camera phone in the theatre:

What's my opinion of the movie? It's cute. The editing could have been better, but, then again, it's Pride and Prejudice... that's a really involved and complicated story!

More importantly, Kelly did a great job!! The theatre erupted in applause when her name first appeared on the screen and in the end of the movie.

Meanwhile, there's a photo on Kelly's website that I want to know more about... It's a photo of her and two Xindi aliens from "Star Trek Enterprise"!! It's one of my favorite shows! I'm jealous!! I wish I could get my photo with two Xindi. : )

Okay, that's enough. It's a long entry for what's been a long week! : )

P.S. Happy Birthday to Sarah Van Aman last Friday, Kelly Greeninger this past Tuesday, and to Amy Avanzado tomorrow! (Amy is also pregnant and due in the end of October. She and her husband, Van, just found out that it's a boy!)

P.P.S. Sarah and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary on Sunday! It was so nice to celebrate with our old dinner and movie routine. I loved it! : )
