Big News!

Okay, it's time to share the big news! There are two major things happening in my life right now:

1. Bryan and I are expecting our first baby this fall! : ) The baby is due on November 11th and we couldn't be more excited to meet this new person! We were lucky to get a first glimpse of our new baby at our last Doctor's appointment at 11 weeks. We have our next Doctor's appointment this Friday, when I'll be 15 weeks along!

2. We're moving. Yep, we're building a new house in a development near our current house called "Strawberry Ridge". The new house is going to be a two-story with four bedrooms and plenty of room for our growing family. : )

SO, if you know anyone who is looking to purchase a very nice, and very loved, home in Arnold, MO, we're selling our house.

It's bitter sweet because we love our house, but we need more space.

Will write more soon. : )

Stormy Weather...

It's been raining off and on every day for the past few days with no end in sight. (Well, at least that is with no end in the 5-day forecast that I saw this morning.) Some of the weather has been very severe with tornadoes in the bi-state vicinity.

(On Wednesday nights, I teach dancing at a local dance studio, Motion Express.) Last night, at dancing, we all evacuated to the "basement" of Motion Express's facility, which is occupied by another tenant of our plaza, a hair styling school. There was a Tornado warning in our area and just in case, we all took cover.

All I can say is that it was an experience... I've heard about that happening before at the dance studio, but I've never been there for it. Some of the dancers were scared out of their minds! I couldn't believe the way their imaginations were taking them into hysterics. Other dancers were completely opposite. They thought this was the coolest thing ever and were having a ball being out of class and sitting in a hallway made out of cinderblocks. The hair styist school had no idea that it was even raining outside. They were shocked to hear that it was so severe.

I was definitely happy that my little sister, Sara, was there, with me. (Sara teaches with me on Wednesday evenings.) She and I sat in the middle of the hallway and tried to calm both groups of kids and eventually started entertaining ourselves by taking photos with my camera phone.

When the storm blew over, we went back upstairs and continued on with class as normal. It was a weird, funny, and different experience. : ) Something that I'm sure we'll talk about for a while.
